The American Girls Premiere was a CD-ROM produced in 1997 under the auspices of The Learning Company for the American Girl line of dolls. The program allows enterprising children to create their own plays set in the eras of their favorite American Girl characters. It also allows grown-ass men to use a hilarious text-to-speech engine to create bizarre playlets wholly unsuitable for the software’s original audience. This monster-in-your-pocket romp through Revolution-era New England seeks to prove once and for all that things long dead and gone… should stay that way.
